Abstract: |
An historic building record was prepared in advance of the conversion of the barns to a dwelling. The barns all date to the mid-19th century, and form part of a wider reorganisation of the farm. An earlier former threshing barn, possibly of 18th-century date, had been largely demolished. The farm buildings consisted of a cow house with hayloft above containing evidence of mechanisation (probably a root crusher), stables with hayloft above, cart and implement sheds, a single-storey cow house, and a further building for housing animals with a hayloft above. |
