Abstract:		 Terrain Archaeology carried out an archaeological evaluation of the proposed site of a new mews-style dwelling to the rear of Top o'Town House, Dorchester. One trench was excavated across the area revealing flint gravel deposits which may be the remains of the Roman road from Dorchester to Ilchester (or may be a later road). A mortared chalk wall was also revealed, which may be the remains of a field boundary wall or a garden wall in the former grounds of Top o'Town House.
