Abstract: |
The excavation of four access pits were monitored between June 2016 and November 2017, in three locations along the 7.5 km route of the water main upgrade works traversing Bristol and known as the Victoria to Fishponds Scheme. In two of the access pits 19th-century culverts were exposed. As the remaining access pit locations were positioned within the existing highway, the City's Principal Historic Environment Officer agreed to abandon further monitoring of the Scheme. |
