Abstract: Walkover survey with GPS to assess the potential of the wood to contain well-preserved archaeological features. The wood was walked in transects aligned roughly E-W (southern and central areas) or N-S (northern area), approximately 50m to 100m apart. The survey is only a sample of the wood and should not be taken as exhaustive, or its results as definitive. Features identified included hollow ways, saw pits, a charcoal burning platform, ridge and furrow, woodland boundaries and quarries.
