Abstract: Walkover survey using GPS, to provide a rapid assessment of the potential of the woodland to contain well-preserved archaeological features. The wood was walked in transects aligned roughly N-S and approx 50m-100m apart. The survey is only a sample of the woodland and should not be taken as exhaustive or its results as definitive. Features recorded include two areas of medieval activity, platforms, hollow ways, trackways, woodland boundaries and quarries.
