Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during the excavation of three investigative trenches to establish the make-up of the deposits in between the slabbed floor of the Great Hall of the Haliburton Range and the vault crown of the cellars below. It seemed that a significant effort had been made to try to consolidate the floor, probably in the early to mid 20th century, which had involved the removal of the original infilled deposits over the vault. |
