Abstract: |
Planning permission is being sought for the conversion of agricultural buildings to form dwellings at Taylor's Farm, Pickworth, Rutland and a historic assessment and survey of the building has been requested by the senior planning archaeologist at Leicestershire County Council as advisor to the planning authority. The farm buildings were built in 1880 following the latest ideas of model farm construction which were common throughout the region. The farm has continued to be used for agricultural purposes until the present day when changes in modern farming practices have rendered much of the building redundant. |
