Abstract:		 MOLA Northampton carried out a programme of historic building recording of gasholders at the former Wavertree Works, Liverpool. The Works was established in the mid 19th century to a design by Alfred King and was held as a model gasworks by contemporary critics. Recording encompassed two standard-guided gasholders of 1906 and two spiral-guided holders dating to 1929 and 1933. All of the gasholders utilised the existing masonry tanks of earlier column-guided gasholders built in the mid 19th century.
