Abstract: An archaeological watching brief on borehole excavations and a single test pit. The watching brief encountered natural chalk and head material horizons consistent with the known geology as described by the British Geological Survey. Modern intrusions were identified across the site and comprised of deliberate deposits of 'made ground'; which in turn was sealed by modern concrete creating the current ground level and in respect of the test pit, a modern tarmacadam surface.
