Abstract: |
Outline planning permission has been granted on appeal (Appeal ref APP/R0660/A/12/2179343; Cheshire East planning application ref 12/0883C) for erection of up to 194 dwellings. The permission contains a planning condition (condition 6) relating to archaeological investigation and requires that a WSI is submitted to the planning authority for approval. Following preliminary discussions with Mark Leah, archaeological advisor to Cheshire East Council, it has been agreed that the archaeological investigation should comprise an initial metal detecting survey of the development site; subject to results of the survey, additional investigation measures may be required. The need for and scope of such measures will be agreed with Mr Leah, and detailed in a separate supplementary document submitted to East Cheshire Council where required. |
