Abstract: |
Headland Archaeology Ltd conducted an archaeological evaluation on land south of Glenboig, North Lanarkshire, in response to a condition on the planning application for development of the site. The evaluation of Phase 1 and 2 of the development, by means of trial trenching revealed the remains of the water treatment works dating to the 1930's along with evidence of 19th/20th century agricultural activity in the form of frequent plough furrows across the site. |
