Abstract: |
Between the 14th and 29th January 2019 Compass Archaeology undertook an archaeological watching brief at 3 Wine Office Court, City of London EC4A 3BY. The watching brief monitored groundworks associated within and to the front of the property, at basement level. The work exposed the remains of an east-west aligned brick drain, taken to be contemporary with the 1828 construction of the house. No finds were recovered. Natural gravels were encountered at approximately 11.4mOD. |
