Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out during the groundworks for the new school buildings at the Oasis Academy, Henderson Avenue, Scunthorpe. The new school will lies in the southern half of the site, south of the former school building which will be partially demolished in the course of the re-design of the school. Two features, both only partially exposed, were identified during the course of the archaeological monitoring of the groundworks for the new school. Both features were void of any artefacts and therefore remain undated, but the stratigraphic sequence suggests they may be contemporary. No other archaeological features were revealed during these works. |
