The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out by AC archaeology during groundworks associated with the laying of a new water pipe serving No. 5A, Allhalland Street, Bideford, Devon. The site was located in Bideford town centre, within a cobbled lane, named Union Place, which currently leads from Allhalland Street to the Bridge Street Carpark. No archaeological features or deposits were encountered beneath the cobbled surface. The cobbles were replaced in their original positions and the character of the lane's surface was maintained.
