Abstract: |
This illustrated report describes the archaeological results of the South East Warwickshire and Cotswolds Higher Level Stewardship Target Areas project. The project was funded by English Heritage through the National Heritage Protection Commissions Programme (NHPCP) and was undertaken by Gloucestershire County Council Archaeology Service between October 2010 and August 2013. The project conformed to English Heritage National Mapping Programme standards. The report covers the aerial photo, cartographic and lidar sources consulted for this project and outlines the methodology employed. It provides an overview of the archaeology of the area in the form of period based summaries. Case studies further explore key archaeological areas and heritage protection issues. The report closes with a summary of recommendations and potential sites for designation arising from the project. |
