Abstract: |
John Moore Heritage Services undertook a watching brief at The Atrium, Thames Street, Sonning-on-Thames, from the 12th June to the 27th November 2018. The watching brief did not identify any evidence of archaeological activity on the site. What was observed was a series of natural deposits, demonstrating the geological processes which formed the landscape. The variety of sand, silt, gravel and chalk deposits, are in keeping with a Head geology and associated processes of glacial erosion. |
