Abstract: |
This report presents the results of an archaeological watching brief carried out by Archaeology South-East at 22A Laud Street, Croydon, in October 2015. The watching brief monitored the excavation a basement area and the footprint of the whole building in advance of the excavation of wall footings by hand. No archaeological finds or features were noted during the course of the works, modern made ground was observed to be directly overlying the natural gravels indicating the truncation of the archaeological horizon at some point in the past. |
