Abstract: |
Watching brief on geotechnical site investigation. The monitoring exercise comprised investigation of six boreholes with window samples (WS1 - 6). The boreholes were carried out by Card Geotechnics Limited (CGL) with the attendance of PCA's archaeologist. The significant modern truncations within the investigated area. The site appears to contain significant amounts of made ground consisting mainly of the demolition rubble with the late 19th and 20th century building materials. Remains of buried modern foundations are also present. |
