Abstract:		 A section of Winchester's medieval east wall was revealed at the west end of an east-west aligned trench within the Public House's Beer Garden and backyard, with probable post-medieval additions to the western face and a later discordant modern wall above. A post medieval culvert and well were also revealed on the east side of the wall along with a plethora of post-medieval and later modern rubble debris and modern foundation.
