Abstract: |
CFA Archaeology undertook a programme of archaeological mitigation works including watching brief and strip and record at Ovenden Moor Wind Farm, Ovenden, West Yorkshire. The purpose of the work was to monitor the impact of the decommissioning of existing wind turbines and the construction of new turbines on areas of potential survival of early archaeology. No archaeological remains were identified during the course of the works with the turbine crane pads and base areas all blank of any surviving features. No areas of flint scatter or other debitage were noted. This report covers the strip and record of the turbine areas, and watching briefs carried out on other parts of the site. |
