Abstract: |
PCA recorded a medieval well and a sequence of medieval or early post-medieval demolition deposits during examination of the footings for the proposed development. The well was constructed of a grey clunch stone with tiles. Archaeological deposits overlying the well appear to represent demolition deposits of medieval or post-medieval architecture utilising stone from earlier buildings. Apart from the well no other cut features were recorded. |
