Abstract:		 Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd (PCA) was commissioned by Gleeds Project Management Ltd on behalf of Red Funnel Ltd to undertake historic building recording at the White Hart Inn, East Cowes, Isle of Wight, (NGR SZ 50200, 95712).This was ahead of the scheduled demolition, site clearance and provision of expanded vehicle marshalling facilities, proposed taxi/ drop off area and dropped trailer storage compound associated with existing ferry operations, proposed platform stopping up of Dover Road slipway and public footpath to the west of Trinity Yard. The building does not lie within a Conservation Area and is not Listed by Historic England.
