Abstract: |
Cornwall Archaeological Unit (CAU) undertook a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording, in the form of a watching brief, during ground disturbance for footpath improvement works on the Pendennis Headland. Excavation was carried out with an archaeologist in attendance to record any features exposed during the ground disturbance. Fieldwork was undertaken in November and December 2020, in wet and windy weather conditions. No archaeological features or artefacts were revealed. |

Cornwall Archaeological Unit (CAU) was commissioned by Cormac to undertake a programme of archaeological monitoring and recording, in the form of a watching brief, during ground disturbance for footpath improvement works on the Pendennis headland. The works were located within the Scheduled area Groundworks, at nine different locations within the Scheduled area were carried out with an archaeologist in attendance to record any features exposed during the ground disturbance. Fieldwork was undertaken in November and December 2020, in wet and windy weather conditions. No archaeological features or artefacts were revealed.
