Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology during groundwork associated with demolition of the current clubhouse and replacement with a new structure at Newbury Canoe Club, Newbury, West Berkshire. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed during groundwork, and no artefacts pre-dating the modern period were recovered due to the limited nature of the observed excavations.
