Abstract:		 In December 2020, Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological watching brief during groundworks associated with development at 1a Market Street, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire Two areas were archaeologically monitored, foundation trenches for an extension to the rear of the property and an area at the rear of the plot that was reduced in level to create a new carpark. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed and no artefactual material pre-dating the modern period was recovered.
