Abstract: |
Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd were commissioned to undertake an archaeological evaluation consisting of two trenches at Grange Farm, Church Lawford. A total of two trenches were excavated across the footprint of a new farm building. Evidence of rooting was uncovered across the trenches, with some evidence of a prehistoric human presence in the form of unstratified flint, and highly degraded pottery. This pottery was from a tree throw, which may have destroyed an original pit in this location. No other archaeological deposits of horizons were observed. |
