Abstract:		 Several monitoring visits were made between 11th March and 7th August 2014 to monitor extensions to the front, side and rear of the house at Thistledown, Church Road, Maulden, Bedfordshire in order to meet the requirements of the local planning authority, Central Bedfordshire Council. Observations made during the building excavations indicate that the site had been truncated, probably in the late 20th century, prior to the construction of the extant house. No archaeological cut features, deposits or artefacts were noted.
