Abstract:
A cultural heritage assessment was carried out in advance of a proposed residential development. The work resulted in the identification of 36 sites and monuments in the vicinity of the site. There were also six Listed buildings in the near area. The assessment concluded that there was nothing to indicate that the location of the proposed development contained archaeological remains of sufficient significance to warrant mitigation by avoidance and preservation of the site in situ.
