Abstract: |
A programme of photographic recording and a watching brief was carried out at Nunley Farm, Wroxall. The photographic recording was of a brick-built outbuilding, which had been partially demolished in the 20th century. The watching brief was carried out on an extension to the house, where old brick footings were exposed adjacent to the house. Although they take the form of a large bay, there is no evidence for a large blocked window on this wall and it is possible there were footings for a staircase to the first floor. During excavations for the new extension to the outbuildings a rectangular brick lined pit was exposed, as was the former paved floor of the demolished part of the building. |
