Abstract:		 Watching brief undertaken during groundworks for new development. Two areas of the site had been identified in an earlier desk based assessment where there was potential for archaeological remains dating from the early 19th century onwards. The watching identified some truncated remains in the form of a possible early 19th century culvert, and late 19th century wall foundations and floor surface. The work noted that there had been considerable disturbance to the areas through development of the site for the university campus in the 1960s and late 20th century
