Abstract: An Historic Environment Desk Based Assessment covering a proposed development at Land at North Street, Lower Horsebridge, Hailsham, East Sussex, BN27 4DR. The report forms part of a planning application for a Phase 1 residential development of 32 dwellings with parking, associated access, landscaping and utilities/services. It includes a description of the baseline conditions; an examination of readily available documentary, cartographic and known archaeological evidence; and identifies any known and potential cultural heritage receptor(s) within the application site and its surrounding area. It proposes a suitable mitigation strategy for archaeology and heritage, where such works are deemed appropriate.
