Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was completed at 9 Sansome Street, Worcester (NGR SO 8498 5516). It was commissioned by Nick Carroll Architects Limited on behalf of their client, Hanbao, who intend to demolish part of the former public house on the site and redevelop it into new commercial premises. The assessment was undertaken to achieve a better understanding of designated and undesignated heritage assets on the proposed development site, and to assess any impacts of the proposed development on these assets. This was specifically focused on the potential for survival of below-ground archaeological remains, but also considered both the physical impact and the visual impact upon directly affected listed buildings in the surrounds. |
