Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken as a condition of planning consent by Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd. during the groundworks for the construction of a new garage, garden and garden wall at Peckleton Barn, Church Road, Peckleton, Market Bosworth, Leicestershire. Peckleton Homes Ltd commissioned Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd. to undertake the watching brief. The groundworks for the development revealed no significant archaeological deposits. An undated feature (possibly a garden feature) and two modern service trenches were recorded within the trenches. The sequence of layers recorded on the site comprised topsoil, subsoil and natural deposits. The only artefacts recovered from the site was a solitary sherd of post-medieval jug sherd from the topsoil.
