Abstract: |
Archaeological field evaluation, via trial trenching, was undertaken by Headland Archaeolo-gy on Land at Lyde Green Farm, Emersons Green East, South Gloucestershire. The investigation revealed the remains of a probable prehistoric roundhouse, large prehistor-ic boundary ditches and drainage ditches, a probable small circular or pennanular enclosure, multiphase and multi-period field drainage and ditch systems and a segment of a metalled road surface likely to relate to the Roman Road between Bitton and Berkeley. |
