Abstract:		 An archaeological Desk-based Assessment has been carried out at Churchwood Primary School, Hollington, Hastings, East Sussex, which has been proposed for an extension to the existing school. The desk-based assessment has established that the school site was woodland prior to the construction of the school, and the associated terracing of the school into the slope has probably removed any archaeological remains at the site. The playing field site was built up at the same time, although there may be surviving Medieval and Post Medieval remains at its south-east end.
