Abstract: |
Trenching revealed only a modern ditch. Fieldwalking recovered mainly only modern finds but also four musket-balls which may be relics of the Second Battle of Newbury which ranged widely across the area in 1644, and a belt buckle which would also not be out of place in the same era. |
