Abstract:		 Headland Archaeology Ltd undertook archaeological monitoring of groundworks associated with the laying of a telecommunications cable for The School of Performing Arts, Tring Memorial Garden, Tring, Hertfordshire. The wayleave for the cable lay within an area of archaeological significance from the Roman to post-medieval periods. Monitoring revealed the footings of brick-built buildings shown on 19th century historic mapping and predating the creation of the memorial garden.
