Abstract:		 Headland Archaeology conducted a trial-trench archaeological evaluation on land at Holwell Road, Pirton, Hertfordshire, prior to submission of planning consent for the residential development of the site. The trial-trenching evaluation uncovered a single area of medium local significance remains at the northern end of the site.
