Abstract:		 Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd undertook a geophysical (magnetometer) survey covering 1.2 hectares of land to the south of Gerrards Cross Golf Course to provide information about the archaeological potential of land proposed for development. No anomalies of definite archaeological potential have been identified by the survey although two faint linear anomalies may have been some archaeological potential, perhaps forming part of an enclosure, although a modern agricultural origin is considered equally possible. There is no indication from any other source to suggest that the magnetic data provides anything other than an accurate representation of the sub-surface conditions within the survey area. Therefore, based on the results and interpretation of the data, the archaeological potential of the site is considered to be low.
