Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology during groundworks associated with demolition of a single storey teaching block, and garages, the erection of a twostorey teaching block and re-provision of hard surfaced tennis courts with associated hard and soft landscaping at Monk's Walk School, Knightsfield, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. A large sub-circular pit of unknown date and function was identified and recorded within Trench 31. With this exception no archaeological remains were recorded within the site.
