Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out at St. Mary’s Church Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. The work was commissioned by P.R. Architects on behalf of the PCC of St. Mary’s Church from University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) in advance of a proposed new building replacing an existing boiler house located in the northern area of the churchyard.The watching brief entailed the monitoring of three boreholes and the re-excavation of three test-pits dug in 2018. No evidence of in-situ structures was found. |
