Abstract:		 Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out by AC archaeology during improvement works to The Old Well Garden Centre, Uffculme, Cullompton, Devon (ST 0560 1392). The site lies approximately 1.5km to the northwest of Uffculme and occupies a parcel of land to the south of Waterloo Cross at the junction between the B3181 and the A38 roads. The work entailed the monitoring of groundworks comprising the ground reduction in an area of former carpark measuring approximately 23m by 13m. Within this area six foundation pads measuring 2m square were excavated. The results from the monitoring and recording were negative, with no evidence for previous occupation exposed.
