Abstract: |
An appropriate record has been made of the building to Historic England level 2 standards. Floor plans were required which have been drawn on site using permatrace. The drawn record shows all features of interest that have been recorded photographically, as well as showing other features of historical significance that may not be directly affected by the proposal but which are necessary to put those features in context The barn was initially constructed in the late 18th / early 19th century as a small combination barn used as a cow house to the west side, a stable to the east with storage over. This was extended westward in the mid – late 19th century with a threshing barn and extra storage, as well as a small shed to the east. It was later extended again in the late 20th century and the first floors knocked through to allow access throughout. |
