Abstract: |
Previous archaeological trial trenching undertaken by Pre-Construct Archaeology in October 2013 identified a single pit containing Romano-British pottery and two residual prehistoric flints. The recent archaeological observation did not detract from the original evaluation results that established, a relatively modern topsoil survived above an underlying subsoil and subsequent natural deposits and disturbances from open-cast quarrying activities. No further archaeological features or finds were identified or recovered on the site. |
