Abstract:		 In November and December 2011, an archaeological excavation was carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology, on behalf of CgMs Consulting, on land north of Stratford Road, Deanshanger. The works identified a trackway and ditches dating from the late 1st century to early 2nd century AD, which were contemporary with enclosures recorded to the south. They went out of use in the early 2nd century, possibly as part of land reorganisation with the establishment of the villa to the south. Remnant traces of medieval ridge of furrow field cultivation were present in Area 3.
