Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	An archaeological evaluation comprising geophysical survey and subsequent trial trench excavation was carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology in October 2009 at land off Banbury Lane, Kings Sutton, Northamptonshire. The work was in advance of a proposed housing development and was undertaken for CgMs Consulting who were acting for clients. The evaluation found a settlement comprising several ditched enclosures and possible roundhouse ring ditches. The small assemblage of pottery recovered from the site is dated to the 2nd century BC through to the early 1st century AD. Some animal bone was also recovered. The site was traversed by furrows of a former medieval field system.
