Abstract: |
Topsoil stripped to a depth of 300mm. No archaeology was present within the trench, as the works did not
go deep enough to disturb any underlying archaeology. A number of the 1970s
trenches were uncovered during the soil stripping and their locations have now been
more accurately plotted (Figure 2). A few unstratified finds were uncovered during the
monitoring of the soil stripping, all of which came out of the back-fills of the 1970s
trenches and were not within a secure archaeological context. These included Roman
pot sherds and brick and tile fragments. |
