Abstract:		 Archaeological evaluation by trial-trenching carried out as per the conditions specified in the brief and wsi. Archaeological evaluation at The Maltings, Waterside Place, Sheering Lower Road, Sheering, Essex was located close to the River Stort and in a car park adjacent to the old maltings. A cross-shaped evaluation trench positioned in the footprint a proposed new building revealed no significant archaeological remains. Modern layers covered the site along with modern disturbance probably due to the removal of a concrete silo prior to the conversion of the maltings complex for housing.
