Abstract:		 All archaeological work was undertaken in accordance with the Written Scheme of Investigation and Scheduled Monument Consent. Archaeological monitoring was carried out at East Hill House, 76 High Street, Colchester, Essex during groundworks for two new timber fence posts in shallow foundation pads. The site is located within a Scheduled Ancient Monument, but no archaeological remains were impacted by the development as the groundworks did not go below a buried modern topsoil.
