Abstract:
Monitoring during construction of new public house. This work uncovered evidence for medieval to post-medieval occupation in the form of a number of pits by way of pits and possible light quarrying. A 19th-centujry brick crypt was also discovered below the site of a former Methodist Chapel. Within the crypt were two coffins, both of which contained the highly degraded bones (re-interred at Gorleston Old Cemetery).
